What Makes this Iron Unique

Double the trouble means double the fun with this flat iron. With prices of other Fahrenheit hair irons going up to $200, this one is a comparative steal at $80.

This iron is different from others on the market, because when you buy one – you get two! One is a mini flat iron that Fahrenheit advise to use when travelling.

Conveniently, the Double Trouble comes with a hair clip, which makes parting and holding the hair before straightening so much easier.

Features of the Double Trouble Pink Zebra

The larger flat iron of the two that make Double Trouble runs from 150 – 400 degrees, whereas the smaller of the two irons maintains a steady temperature of around 350.

The good thing about choosing what temperature you want is that picking a setting is as easy as picking a temperature. You don’t have to guess what various settings from 1 to 12 might mean for your hair. If you want 300 degrees, that’s what you select and it’s good to go.

The plates are ceramic, which provides the heat you want at great speed – in only 60 seconds, your flat iron is ready to go. Even better than that, the ceramic plates use ionic technology to make sure that as the hair straightens, it does it without frizz. What this does is turn the hairs charge from positive to negative, eliminating static to get rid of frizz.

It is clear the makers of Fahrenheit had the travelling woman in mind when making the Double Trouble. Both flat irons have a dual voltage of 110-240v meaning you can use them oversees without concern.

How to Use

How high you want to heat the Double Trouble Pink Zebra really depends on your hair type. If your hair only has a slight wave you won’t need the heat much higher than 200 degrees. However, if you’ve got quite curly, thick hair and are looking to get that poker straight look, you’ll probably need to turn it closer to 400. Just remember to use a hair protector spray!

The secret to using the Pink Zebra well is to take the hair clip they include with the product and use it. This makes straightening each section easy. Just divide the hair into compartments, and do one bit at a time, until your hair is perfectly straight all over.

You can great results for straight hair, and manually created curls and waves with the Pink Zebra. However, the smaller hair straightener seems like more of a gimmick than anything else if you have very thick hair. It’s size makes it quite useless for straightening very long, thick hair – especially if that hair has a curl.

However, if you have quite thin hair, or hair that’s mostly straight that just needs a bit of tidying, the smaller straightener is fine. It also works well if you’re just styling small sections of hair like a fringe or around the edges of your hair when it’s tied up.

Our Verdict

A striking feature of this particular set is the swish zebra print in a bright pink. This straightener is for those who are bored by the black and white colour palette of other flat irons and want to add a colour pop to their morning routine.
